Having Sophie has been the biggest blessing I have ever had, and one I am not sure I really deserve.
Through her, I see how loved and how treasured I am to my friends and family, who adore her so unconditionally and have accepted her into their lives so wholeheartedly and enthusiastically. Since her birth, we have been showered with gifts and blessings – in time, in love, in clothes, in visits, in goodwill, in affection. And every single one of these are treasured by us. I always make it a point, when it comes to physical gifts, to make sure Sophie wears each and every single outfit, bow, or pair of shoes given to her, and I read to her every single book, shake every rattle and wiggle every soft toy caterpillar. Thank you so much everyone !
Most recently, one of my closest friends, M, who has been going through a really difficult time, still thought of Sophie and gave us this lovely outfit. I was frankly horrified when I saw the paper bag and repeatedly admonished her for spending so much on a single romper for Baby but I am also so very touched by the gesture, because it fit her perfectly and she looked so beautiful in it !
Of course, I saved the packaging. It is the second prettiest boxing I’ve seen for branded baby outfits behind Sophie’s Dior shoes.
And here’s our tiny model. Because she outgrows her clothes so fast, I make sure I get nice snaps of her in them for the few times she can fit ! Luckily this Valentine collection romper is bubble-style and I hope it can last her until she’s about 5-6 months. At the rate she is putting on weight, though (5.6 kg today) I am not too optimistic -_-
With her favourite bows from Maisie Jayne. They are such a soft lovely cotton and come in a rainbow of colors – we already have six and are thinking of getting more to match every dress ! #shopaholicmummy I’ve even managed to convince Joanne over at Lady J’s Musings and I think Magdalyn to get some for their little buns in the ovens and hopefully their girls will love them too!
Our first snaps of Sophie on our new camera, the Olympus EPL 6 ! Got it at a fantastic price at the PC Show – almost $300 cheaper than RRP. Love that it also has a selfie screen so now we can take SLR quality selfie snaps easily !
The romper is super comfortable and airy – a blend of silk and cotton and, as befitting the Little Bow Baby, two cute bows in the same fabric on the shoulders.
Full body (prepare to be shocked)
So sexy ah this baby ?
She is SOOOOO super chubby now that every morning the first thing I do is plant kisses all over her cheeks, arms, thighs and on top of her head. Look at that double chin !! Sophie is just one big bundle of cuddly happiness – I can’t wait for the day that she can put her sticky grubby fingers around my neck and give me a wet sloppy kiss 🙂
Have been super busy lately celebrating friends’ birthdays, planning for K’s first Father’s Day, packing for our Sydney trip, and dealing with a few setbacks which I hope we will overcome as a family, soon. Will be blogging more often from here on out !
