I first did a “What’s in our diaper bag?” post when Sophie Rose was a month old .. the gosh, how our needs have evolved since then!
First of all, I’ve realized that our previous Kate Spade diaper bag is quite impractical when I’m the only one heading out with Sophie. On it’s own, it already weighs a ton.
It’s also not a very compact bag, which means that when it’s not full, it tends to slump to the left or right, which is okay if K is around, but difficult to manage when it’s just me balancing the baby, the stroller and the bag. On top of that, it didn’t come with any thermal pockets or proper storage for milk bottles, which is a pain now that Sophie is fully on formula and I need to lug a thermos and extra bottle around.
Our Joolz Diaper Bag is still good to use, but its a little on the small side and can’t really meet our growing needs. I’d been thinking of buying a new one for a while, but most of the ones I found online were either oddly shaped, too big, too small, or I didn’t like the print and design.
So when Ashley from SunKiss Babies ( and the Mama to a gorgeous baby boy ) told me she’d sourced the perfect diaper bag in a print I would absolutely love, I must admit I was a little skeptical. I mean, I’d already searched high and low – and I’m quite (okay, very) specific and demanding when it comes to baby things or the kind of styles I like. But you know, I was also secretly very hopeful because so far I have absolutely loved everything Ashley has sent to Sophie Rose and I to try out.
Which is why when the bag arrived, I literally squealed in joy.
Presenting – exclusive to The Little Bow Girl – our new Pink Lining Little Bow Diaper Bag !!
I LOVE IT !
SunKiss Babies is bringing in the Pink Lining brand of diaper bags exclusively into Singapore from the UK.
It exactly matches our Joolz pram (cream, navy) and it has these yummy leather accents. It’s also really compact and sturdy – small enough so I won’t keep ramming into things or knocking into walls when I’m carrying the baby and bag ( I think you Mamas will know what I mean).
Aaaand – it comes both with a hand carry option as well as a very stable sling that connects externally ! I can’t emphasize the importance of an external sling (compared to an internal clip on sling you just “kiap’ on on hooks inside the bag). This makes the bag’s centre of gravity much more stable and is much, much more comfortable on your shoulder!
And to my delight, the bag is completely waterproof. The bag itself is 100 per cent cotton canvas – so that the prints look beautifully matte and smooth without that “plasticky” effect. The canvas is laminated with EVA coating to make it waterproof. This is a huge plus point for me – I don’t need to worry about covering the bag with an umbrella when I’m caught in the rain, and I don’t have to worry about spilling milk (happens all the time) inside or outside the bag or getting it dirty and having to hand wash it.
So practical and perfect for Mamas like me who are always in a hurry and have a thousand things to do all the time. 🙂
SO much thought has gone into this bag, I was thinking, it can only have been designed by a Mama. And I was right.
Here’s a graphic of its award-winning features:
My favourite features:
- The thermo-insulated bottle holders – it can hold my giant Starbucks thermos and my bottles and really works keeping them warm and also keeping them in place! A problem I find with other diaper bags is that my bottles detach and slide around in their compartments. These thermo-pockets keep them UPRIGHT and in place. No spilled milk !
- Key fob – I’m always losing my keys these days, not sure if it’s Mummy Brain or if I’m quite bad at multi-tasking but the key fob ensures that I never forget to bring out a set of keys. SO important since K and I live on our own with baby Sophie. The key fob is also very thoughtfully elasticated so I can just pull it out of my bag and it will bounce back in when I’m done 🙂
- Yummy Mummy Cupcake diaper mat – I looooove the prints and it’s foldable, small but well-padded. Its also super easy to clean (I just wipe it down with a wet wipe).
- Clear wet wipe bag – This is genius! I use it to store my wet wipes (obviously), diaper cream and sanitizer aka anything that could spill or run. I never have to worry about getting cream in my bag because I sat on the tube. And you know what, even if there are leaks, they are a breeze to clean because the inner layer is water-proof too (and an amazingly pretty shocking pink color, hence the brand Pink Lining)
Here’s my diaper bag in use:
K is amazed by the number of things I can stuff into that tiny bag with room to spare:
Yup, everything I could possibly need to bring Sophie out for an entire day!
I really cannot emphasize how much I love my Pink Lining diaper bag and how it has made going out so much easier for me. Even my husband, who scorns my consumerism and is skeptical about everything I buy ( he thinks I’m a naive shopper. Prolific does not mean naive, my dear) but after using this bag for about a month, he’s totally sold on how practical and easy to carry it is and shamelessly promotes it to all his friends.
This is not the first time I’ve been approached to review a diaper bag, but I’ve had to turn down other offers as I felt they would not be suited to my needs – looking for something stylish but truly practical for the busy, time strapped and stressed Mama who doesn’t always have someone around to help clean up after or carry baby.
I also make sure I use and test all products I review for at least a month so I know for sure if it’s good stuff. And I unreservedly recommend Pink Lining’s diaper bags – I am so very sure you will love them too.
Here are some of the other gorgeous designs Ashley has brought in (my favourites of the lot)
Aren’t the prints just gorgeous – they are quirky, unisex, so soothing on the eye. The bags come either plain, or with “Yummy Mummy” and “Blooming Gorgeous” outer pockets. 🙂
I can’t live without mine 🙂

I was given this exclusive bows Pink Lining diaper bag for review by Ashley but have not received any compensation for this non-obligatory review. 🙂 A always stresses to me that it’s important I don’t feel pressurized to write about a product that I’m not in love with or wouldn’t use myself – and this is why I love working with her and we’ve become friends, too!
